Eight Troops Die in Korea Rampage Print E-mail

A South Korean soldier who suffered bullying has killed eight of his comrades and injured two others.
The 22-year-old soldier, identified as Kim Dong-min, threw a grenade and then fired at fellow soldiers while they slept, the defense ministry said.
The incident took place in Yeoncheon county near the heavily-militarized border with North Korea.

'Orange Opposition' Demonstration in Baku Print E-mail
Three prominent opposition parties of Azerbaijan, the Musavat, the People's Front of Azerbaijan (PFPA) and the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, which from the Azatlik (Freedom) Group held a demonstration in the capital Baku Saturday. Thousands chanted slogans like "Freedom", "Democratic Elections" and "Resign".

Profound Crisis in EU Print E-mail
The crisis after the French and Dutch "no" to the European Union (EU) Constitution has deepened with the collapse of the June 17 summit, leaving much uncertainty.
With leaders openly blaming each other, ignoring diplomatic conventions, and discussing the EU's "route and nature" the way is paved for a re-evaluation of the Union's future. It is noted that all the EU policies, including enlargement, will be negatively affected by the "big uncertainty" that the Union has fallen into.
