Google Search Engine Could Sell AOL Stake in 2008 Print E-mail
Google Inc, which just completed it’s merger with AOL, giving Google a 5 percent stake in AOL, could sell that stake as soon as 2008, this per documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Search Engine Giant Google May Rent Videos? Print E-mail
Google’s video upload program had a new upgrade added, with it comes potential into new features that Google may launch for Google Video. They may start video rentals.

The TOS now says they will add the ability to download videos instead of just streaming them. Some users are already using this feature by creating ways to download the videos, which, of course, is against the terms of service.

Real Estate Market Slowing Down? Print E-mail
The Florida real estate market has enjoyed a five-year boom. Southwest Florida also enjoyed that status.

Within the last year, (ending November 30) the median sale price for existing homes in Englewood, and North Point, in Charlotte County went from $167,700 to $236,900, a 41 percent increase. These statistics are based on reports from Florida Association of Realtors and the U of F Real Estate Research Center.

Egyptian Police Kill 10 Sudanese Refugees Print E-mail
Ten Sudanese refugees were killed Friday, December 30, when thousands of Egyptian riot police forcefully broke up a three-month protest they had been staging outside UN offices in Cairo.

Egyptian police armed with sticks and shields broke up the small square where the Sudanese refugees had been camping at around 5:00 am (0300 GMT), Agence France-Presse (AFP) said.
