Alpha Romeo Has Eye on China |

Alpha Romeo, popular among most sports car enthusiasts, has turned its
eyes to the world's huge car markets such as China, the US, and Japan.
Alpha Romeo's CEO Karl-Heinz Kalbfell announced the company's aim at a
meeting in Munich over the weekend. The company will initially increase
the quality and the strength of the brand, and their potential the CEO
said, about half of annual sales are come from Italy and now they would
also like to develop markets in other countries. Aiming at developing
the UK and German markets in Europe and access the potential in Eastern
Europe, as well as the Middle East, Kalbfell said Alpha Romeo plans to
reach a target of 300,000 in sales within a few years.
Alpha's 159, successor of its 156 model, will be launched into the car
market as of early September. The new model will be on sale in Turkey
in autumn. The 159 has been manufactured to include many innovations in
handling, security, comfort and motoring technologies. |
