British Airways will start direct scheduled flights from London to Dalaman in May 2006 for two times a week.
The flights on Mondays and Fridays between May 1st and October 31st will be realized by planes of GB Airways, a representative partner of British Airways.
On Friday, GB Commercial Director John Morgan expressed they are happy to start flights to Dalaman. "The airport is the gateway to the west coast of Turkey, an area that is increasingly popular amongst British holidaymakers and more recently second homeowners. I am confident these services will prove as popular as all of the other new destinations that we have recently started in the eastern Mediterranean."

British Airways Turkey Trade Manager Aysim Arda noted in addition to London-Dalaman flights, they will also start flights to Izmir on 26 March 2006. "Direct Scheduled flights from London Gatwick to Dalaman will increase the number of tourists coming from Britain to Turkey and of course it will also strengthen the connections of this region with Britain." The price of return tickets from Dalaman to London Gatwick will be 144 euros plus taxes until 13 December 2005.
