Since one of the important crude oil production bases, The Gulf of Mexico is
under threat of a hurricane, oil prices on international markets has reached the
limit of $60 per barrel. {mosgoogle right}A barrel of US light crude traded at $59.89 on the New York Stock Exchange earlier today, a 30 cents increase as compared to yesterday's trading. The London Stock Exchange announced the per barrel price of Brent oil traded at $58.52. Meteorology specialists say that Hurricane Cindy constitutes a threat for the oil infrastructure in the Gulf of Mexico. At least 23 oil platforms and six drilling towers were evacuated in the Gulf. |
