Italy will do its best to support Turkish Cyprus |

Italian Foreign Minister Gianfranco Fini yesterday arrived in Turkey to
discuss bilateral and international issues with Turkish officials.
Fini was received by President Ahmet Necdet Sezer at the Cankaya
Presidential Palace, in a closed-door meeting. Fini then met with Prime
Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan at Prime Ministry headquarters. Fini
remarked that although Turkish-Italian economic relations are on the
right track, they can still be improved. ‘My country will do its best
to end the isolation of Turkish Cyprus,” he added. Last night Fini met
with Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul. |
