Argentinean film director Juan Solanas has won the 16th annual Bronze Horse award at the “Stockholm International Film Festival” for "Nordeste" ("Northeast") in Sweden.

The festival that started on November 17 ended on Sunday with the award ceremony.

The Argentinean director, Juan Diego Solanas received the best director award for his film ”Nordeste” at the festival, in which 160 films from 40 countries participated.

Carole Bouquet and Aymara Rovera, who played the leads in the same film, shared best actress and best supporting actress awards for the film.

Vincent D’onofrio won best actor for his role in “Thubsucker,” and David Cronenberg received the “Lifetime Achievement Award".
