Following the deaths of two and a number of hospitalizations, Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Mehdi Eker has confirmed quarantines are in effect at some places.

After the bird flu cases in Dogubayazit of Agri and Aralik of Igdir, the minister has opened investigations in the region.
He responded a question about if there are any other regions beside Dogubayazit that have been quarantined or that are expected to be quarantined, than those areas that they have been informed regarding bird flu cases.

The studies are underway to determine what effective precautionary measures will be taken, the minister told reporters at Kars Airport.
