Washington Post has dubbed EU’s hesitation on Turkey’s accession “shortsightedness”, adding that bringing the accession talks to a halt could have grave consequences for Europe and US. “Turkey’s failure could enrage the Muslim population living in EU countries,” the article read.

Click Fraud Law Suit Against Google

Pay per click analysis company Click Defense inc. has files suit against Search Leader Google alleging "Google has been negligent in monitoring fraudulent clicks, at a loss to its advertisers and a gain to its own bottom line". This suit is filed in the US District Court and there's a similar one pending at the Arkansas state court.

Two killed, two injured in insurgent attack

A police car carrying three policemen and a female passenger, came under an insurgent attack while travelling in Kirkuk province's Domuz bashi district on Saturday. The woman and a police officer died at the scene while two other policemen were injured and taken to Kirkuk hospital.

Google advises against using DVD Jon's Patch

The Norwegian teenaged hacker Jon Lech Johansen has released a patch which will allow users to watch Google's Video Viewer without the Search Leader's own software. The patch was published Tuesday in a weblog posting, little more than a few hours after Video Viewer was actually released.

Bank of America to Pay $35 Billion for MBNA

Bank of America is to purchase MBNA, one of the world's largest credit card companies, for $35 billion.A declaration by the Bank of America reported that the unification of both parts had been approved by the administrative boards and will be performed in the quarter of the year right after the completion of the legal procedures.

Search operators Answers.com and Ask Jeeves have made issue of their ability to answer specific questions whereas the bigger operations, principally Google, Yahoo and MSN have placed less emphasis on that aspect of searching.

Syria Denies Firing on Israeli Troops

The Israeli army said its soldiers on the Golan Heights came under fire from Syria, but the Damascus government denied it, saying that youths had been setting off fireworks in the area.
