Anti-NATO Center Founded in Moscow Print E-mail
An Anti-NATO Information Center is being founded in Moscow to prevent the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s expansion towards the East.
Another goal of the center, founded by the initiative of Ukraine's progressive socialists’ leader Natalia Vitrenko, is to prevent the Ukraine's joining of NATO.
A related statement reads that many Ukrainian citizens living in Russia do not want their country's involvement in NATO. The Anti-Nato Information Center will provide a platform for debate, communication, and negotiations.

While the Ukraine, faced with a government change last winter by a Western-backed civil commotion, plans to join NATO; the pro-Russia opposition wants the nation divert its route to Moscow.

The Moscow administration, on the other hand, constituted a NATO-Russia Council after the Treaty of Rome though it does not want NATO to expand.

According to the Council's decisions, Russia has the right to speak about minor decisions in the organization.
