Hostage Takers Threaten to Kill 4 Westerners Print E-mail
The hostage takers in Iraq threatened to kill 4 Western hostages they kidnapped last week unless the prisoners in the Iraq prisons are released.
The kidnappers voiced their threats via a video image broadcast on Al Jazeera TV and noted the coalition forces have a time period until December 8.
Al Jazeera broadcast the images of the hostages in the video cassette; however the voice of the hostages was not heard. Iraq Islamic Party, which represents the biggest Sunni group in Iraq, called the kidnappers to set free the hostages. Meanwhile, Canada Prime Minister Paul Martin made an announcement the other day and said the federal government is using all its sources to rescue the hostages.

Last week 4 members of a humane aiding foundation, which is centered in Chicago, were kidnapped in Iraq; 2 of the hostages were from Canada, one from England and one from the US.

Yesterday (December 3) Al Jazeera broadcast the images of a big explosion near Felluja city and reported 10 US soldiers dead. On the other side, 19 Iraqi soldiers, who fought against the resisters, were killed in Bakuba town in Iraq. In the attack that took place in the region while a convoy was passing by and in the fight following the explosion, 10 Iraqis, one of whom was a resister, were also injured.
