Thırty people were killed in a hotel fire in China. According to the news of Xinhua there was a fire in a hotel in the Shantou City in Guangdong State which is located 300 km northeast of Beijing, 30 people were killed in the fire and 15 were injured.

The agency reported that the fire destroyed 3 floors of the 4 floored hotel and the injured remain in a critical condition.

The authorities reported that the number of people who were at the hotel at the time of the fire was not known and an investigation has started into the event.
