It will take many years for Tehran to produce highly enriched uranium needed forproducing atomic bomb, Former Chief United Nations (UN) Weapons Inspector Hans Blix has said.

"They have many years to go before they will be able to produce highly enriched uranium for a bomb and I believe there is plenty of room for negotiations," Blix said. The US and the European Union (EU) have demanded Tehran stop its uranium enrichment program. The EU is in negotiations with the Tehran administration to stop the nuclear program indefinitely.

Concerns about the nuclear plants were exaggerated because rough part of the plants had been built by the German Siemens before the Iran-Iraq war according to Blix and that Russians helped the construction with a low nuclear technology in the aftermath of the war. "The situation would be like placing a Lada motor into a Mercedes."
