Eight earthquake survivors in Kashmiri Pakistan have reportedly died due to heavy winter conditions. The news in media confirmed the deaths as doctors warned if proper sheltering is not provided, conditions of the survivors will be worsen. Pneumonia, hypothermia, and other respiratory system diseases caused more than 700 people to be hospitalized. Doctor Bashir Rahman in Muzaffarad said, about 200 people in the last 12 hours were taken to hospitals due to respiratory diseases. The United Nations Children Education Fund, UNICEF, official in the city, Silvia Pasti, has said they are trying to do their best to protect children in particular and they are collecting data regarding the epidemic diseases. On October 8, Pakistan razed to the ground by a 7.6 magnitude earthquake and more than 87,000 people died; in Kashmiri Pakistan, the earthquake left 3.5 million people homeless. |
